Built-in DSC watch functionality allows you to monitor Ch.70 (DSC channel) activity, even while receiving another channel. The DSC functions include individual, distress, all ships, group, urgency, safety, polling request, position request/report, and DSC test calls.

When receiving DSC information from another vessel, the Icom IC-M324 02 can transfer it to a navigational device via NMEA 0183 connectivity. The Icom IC-M324 02 Transceiver can also be integrated with the MA-500TR Class B AIS Transponder, allowing you to transmit DSC individual calls to a selected vessel instantly, without manual MMSI entry! This is very handy when waiting to contact vessels on the AIS screen, an essential safety feature in an emergency.

The IC-M324 02 is able to withstand submersion for 30 minutes in up to 1.0m depth of water. It is equivalent to the IPX7 standard.

The Favorite Channel function allows for quick channel selection, just set the ”Tag” channel to your most frequently used channels used. Only the tagged channels are selected when pushing the up/down buttons on the hand microphone, conveniently skipping untagged channels.
