The SkegShield by Gator Guards is used to protect your outboard or stern drive motor from costly damages. Made from 18 gauge, 316 marine grade stainless steel, SkegSheilds are designed to be twice the strength as your original skeg and feature a reinforced lower edge to ensure that the area taking the impact is the strongest part of the shield. All Skegsheilds include a drain hole that allow for water to escape the shield and prevent corrosion. SkegSheilds do not require welding or adhesives to install.
